Doja Cat Fuels Excitement for New Music With Cryptic Videos

Doja Cat stirs anticipation among fans via a series of teasing, mysterious video clips that hint at maybe new music. The rapper let out the intriguing posts on Saturday, November 30, using X, formerly known as Twitter, leaving followers curious with guesses of what's in the pipeline.

Teasing the Unknown

The first video, captioned “Let’s about it,” shows Doja dressed in all black, seemingly about to speak before the clip abruptly ends. The suspense continues in another post titled “My bad yall,” where she appears to offer an apology. In the video, Doja says, “Ok, I’m sorry. I’ve just been like f—ing with you guys this entire time, and I feel like it’s rude, and I apologize for that. So, I do wanna talk about basically…” The video cuts off mid-sentence again, intensifying fans' curiosity.

A Glimpse of Unreleased Tracks

In the third and final clip, which lasts a minute, Doja ups the ante. She plays and pauses snippets of nine unreleased tracks, ending the video with a sly smile to leave fans wanting more.

Hints of a New Album

Speculation of the new album has been ongoing for weeks. Earlier this month, Doja Cat shared and quickly deleted what looked like a 13-song tracklist. The post gave a spotlight to five tracks she seemed most excited about: "Cards," "Acts of Service," "Make It Up," "Did I Lie," and "Crack."

Adding to the intrigue, she posted an already deleted Instagram photo dump with a photo of a foot tattoo inked "Red" in red ink, with a possible album title captioned in its head, "red 5," supposedly indicating that her fifth studio album might also be titled that way.

The Success of Scarlet and What’s Next

Doja Cat’s last album, Scarlet, released in September 2023, followed the massive success of her 2021 project, Planet Her. In May, she treated fans to the Scarlet 2 CLAUDE deluxe edition.

While the details of her next project remain mysterious, Doja’s latest teases suggest she’s ready to push boundaries and keep fans on their toes.
