Nicole Kidman & Keith Urban's Beverly Hills Mansion Under Attack on Valentine's Day Burglary

Beverly Hills mansion of Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban was the target of a burglary on the 14th February evening, reports law enforcement officials to The Los Angeles Times. Fortunately, neither Kidman nor Urban was at home when the burglary was perpetrated.

Incident Details and Police Response

Police were called to the burglary around 8 p.m. on Valentine's Day at Lime Orchard Road, a home in a gated community. A security guard on the property informed officers that a burglar had smashed a glass door, vandalized the interior, and fled. It is not clear whether anything was stolen from the property.

Is it Part of a Larger Crime Trend?

This break-in joins Kidman and Urban to a long list of celebrities targeted by break-ins in recent times. Last December, the FBI announced their suspicion that organized crime syndicates from South America were responsible for a string of burglaries, especially those of professional athletes. Just last month, a joint operation between the Glendale and Beverly Hills Police Departments led to the arrest of five suspects believed to be members of the crime group. But if this recent incident is related to the overall crime wave remains to be seen.

A Moment of Celebration for Kidman

Despite this tragic event, Nicole Kidman was recently awarded a highly sought-after award at the Palm Springs International Film Festival's Film Awards Gala. She received the International Star Award from actress Jamie Lee Curtis. In her emotional acceptance speech, Kidman referred to her late parents, explaining that her career has been a commitment to them. "My whole career has been for my mom and my dad, and they're not here anymore," she disclosed, crying. "I want to keep working and giving back to the world… I feel my mama now. This is for you, Mama."
