Taylor Swift and Gracie Abrams Deliver Surprise Performance of 'Us' in Toronto
Taylor Swift brought the house down during her Eras Tour stop in Toronto on Saturday (Nov. 16), welcoming her friend Gracie Abrams for an emotional rendition of their Grammy-nominated collaboration "Us." The album track, nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 2025 Grammys, appeared during the surprise song portion of Swift's Rogers Centre set.

The 34-year-old music star married Abrams' song "Us," featured on The Secret of Us, to her 1989 hit "Out of the Woods" in a breathtaking mashup. Abrams, 25, co-wrote "Us" with Swift, making the collaboration particularly important to the two artists.
Tour Reunion Worth Remembering
This wasn't Swift and Abrams' first live performance of "Us." The duo originally performed the song together in June at London's Wembley Stadium. For those in attendance in Toronto, the reunion added a touch of emotion, as it had been several stops since Abrams joined Swift during this latest leg of The Eras Tour.
Before introducing Abrams onto the stage, Swift waxed poetic about how the tour—which launched in March 2023—had been a journey of metamorphosis. "A lot of life can happen during a tour, a lot of art can happen," she said. Swift invited Abrams—who she referred to as a "genius, brilliant young lady"—onto the stage and briefly discussed the memories they shared over the past year.
A Year of Milestones for Gracie Abrams
Abrams, who opened for many of Swift's Eras Tour dates in 2023, hits the road with the "Antagonist" singer once again. This leg of her tour wraps with three nights in Vancouver on Dec. 8. The young musician has since seen a budding career with a growing fanbase and a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. Swift jokingly said they celebrated Abrams' Grammy nomination, saying, "We went out that night and had, like, eleven-hundred cosmos."
The Thrill of Grammy Recognition
Recollecting the moment they got the news regarding the Grammy nod for "Us," Swift described how proud she and Abrams were. "We were on the phone together, feral screeching," she said, depicting the way this emotional bond between the two collaborators blossomed. The heartfelt partnership between them goes on, and in Toronto, it's another unforgettable chapter to this Eras Tour.
